Welcome

Welcome to the registration site for the 11th annual Asian Canadian Law Students Conference (ACLSC 2015)!

Proudly presented through the combined efforts of law student associations from Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, ACLSC 2015 provides an exciting forum for law students and lawyers across Canada to engage in topical discussion around issues that are of interest to the Asian Canadian community.

ACLSC 2015 features some of the most interesting and distinguished members of the legal community in a variety of panels and workshops. Attending our annual conference will be your opportunity to explore career paths, manage professional development, learn about substantive legal issues, and build critical networks with legal professionals and students from across the country.

The theme of this year's conference is "Tenacity in the face of Uncertainty". We feel privileged to announce as our keynote speaker, Mr. Jeffrey Lem, the Director of Titles at Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, as our keynote speaker. Mr. Lem now has responsibility for the Land Titles Act, the Registry Act, and the largest all-electronic land registration system in North America, the Teraview/POLARIS land registration system, with over 7.5 million electronically registered properties. Prior to his recent appointment, Mr. Lem had established a successful and distinguished career as a specialist in Real Estate Law.

The people that you meet on Saturday, February 21, 2015 will be your future colleagues, partners, mentors, and friends. We hope that you will join us at ACLSC 2015, in the spirit of nurturing professional and personal aspirations in the realm of legal practice in Canada!
